Welcome to my online fiber arts school! I am so excited to have you here. I designed this school to help you expand, improve and transform your knitting and crochet skills. Whether you’ve been making for a few months or a few decades, there’s always something new to learn and always something to improve.

As a knitting and crochet teacher for the past 14 years (the last 8 at the amazing Personal Threads Boutique), I pride myself on being a teacher who inspires you, who helps you feel supported and capable of making whatever your heart desires. It's my goal to empower you with all the tools you need to have the confidence to achieve those dreams. And I truly believe that the classes I've created will do just that.

On taking Ship Shape Short Row Socks...

As a first time sock knitter, I was afraid that I might be overwhelmed, but Meredith's wonderful videos and easy-to-follow pattern meant that I felt comfortable and capable through the entire experience. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to tackle socks!

On taking the Skills Building Masterclass:

I felt this class was a great way for me to learn new knitting skills including mosaic color work and knitting cables. The patterns that were used to practice these skills were great small projects that allowed me to practice the new skills.

On taking the Skills Building Masterclass:

Hi, I’m Meredith!

17 years ago I picked up some cheap Lion Brand yarn and a pair of giant needles and taught myself how to knit. While it took me a year to figure out how to purl (life before YouTube!), I knew that I'd found a hobby that would be with me for the rest of my life. I've made it my life's work to bring the beauty and joy of knitting and crochet to people for the last 14 years. I truly believe that these arts are healing tools. They give us a sense of purpose, they fill our lives with beauty, they strengthen our confidence and provide us with a power to create for those we love and those in need.

As we navigate this new pandemic world, we all need something to ground us even more. My hope is that you'll find that anchor in fiber arts; I know I certainly have.
